Going to Leeds

For those of you who have not discovered Leeds, it's the biggest city in Yorkshire county. Among the things Leeds is known for is the strong northern accent the residents have. Actually, to most visitors they're actually substantially tough to understand whenever having a chat!

However do not let that put you off! Leeds has a good reputation for being a terrific youthful and thrilling town to check out and investigate.

To start with Leeds is big on it is theatricals, whether or not it's for its plays or operas. Aside from London, Leeds is the only other British city to have it's own royal theatres and opera house. If you have a liking for the finer arts of acting, singing and dancing - Leeds is a terrific place to visit.

The main reason that most men and women visit Leeds though is for the gift buying. The vibrant town features a number of shopping centers, reported to be around 5 miles worth of shops!! If shopping is your forte, a day in just about the most popular metropolitan areas in the UK will certainly use up all of your time!

Leeds is sometimes classed as a student city. Not simply because of the big college that resides in the town but due to the enjoyable night-life that is obtainable to all those that are after a good night out! With numerous bars, clubs and pubs; Leeds is a fantastic destination to go to for hen nights and stag dos.

Sports activities is yet another typical feature in Leeds, with some of the finest sporting venues in Britain. Headingly is one of the better cricketing stadiums in England and is frequently used for the national sides test matches. Leeds United likewise have one of the biggest stadiums in the nation, participating in their football games at Elland Road.

If the hubbub of the city is too much and you are looking for something just a little diverse, fortunately Leeds is beautifully located to some terrific Yorkshire attractions. The Yorkshire Dales are within 20 miles which opens up a big chance for enjoying the country and beautiful beautiful views. Coastal towns for example Scarborough are also very close by, meaning it is easy to have a great active day out with your loved ones, especially in the sunshine!

Leeds is readily accessible from a number of different transport systems; including aeroplane, bus and train!
