By Eric Simmons

Traveling in Europe is a wonderful idea if you love ancient beauty and would like a learning experience that you can touch. There are many sights both believed to be magical as well as spiritual in Europe as well as some loaded in an energy that you can feel and makes you feel good. Even though this is the second smallest continent it has 50 countries each with its own sights and beleifs that are all beautiful.

Wiltshire, England- Wiltshire is the location of Stonehenge once believed to have been built by druids when in fact it was not. The boulders that were carried hundreds of miles are located here in this beautiful sight that is believed to be magical. It is said that if you wash the stones and then yourself in the same water it will heal what ails you.

Buckingham Palace, London- Buckingham palace is the formal home of the Queen in London. This is where the Royal Family entertains state affairs as well as family all getting together. During the months of august and September part of the palace is open to tourist which includes 19 staterooms, the ball room and the gardens.

Paris, France- here you will find the beautiful Eiffel Tower which was built for a World Fair and only expected to last for 20 years. But due to the country it has been taken care of and still standing. The Eiffel Tower is used for weddings as well as the shops and restaurants that are on the second level.

Tuscany, Italy- home of the Leaning Tower of Pisa that took 177 years to complete due to the soft ground it was started on. Started in 1173 with white marble campanile it started to sink when construction of the second floor was started. This led to a century of settling to occur due to wars that Tuscany was involved in. A beautiful sight to behold as well as comedic photo opportunity that is available.

Sligo, Ireland- Tobar Nalt Holy Well has the most beautiful clear and cold water that bubbles up from beneath a huge rock wall and runs to the Lock Gill. This is believed to be a magical well with healing properties. There is also a rock that can be leaned upon and is said to cure back problems.

Sounion Cape, Greece- The Temple of Poseidon was built here in 440 B. C. It was a gift to Poseidon the King of the Sea which the people believed these types of gifts guaranteed them safety from the wrath of the gods and to keep the fishermen safe while out on their boats. They believed that when Poseidon was angry with them that was when the storms would come up on the water and with the lack of technology in that day there were a lot of deaths due to drowning. The Temple is a beautiful and magical sight with only 18 pillars still standing you can feel the energy while there.

Traveling in Europe is definitely a way to have a dream come true. Not only is there a lot to see but even more to learn. It is a visit that you will remember for the rest of your days.
