Make sure you have the proper documents to travel to foreign countries. You should be aware that there are several kinds of visas, and not all of them authorize entry into a country. You can get this information from the embassy, your travel agent, or online sources.

They are usually minor issues like painting or aesthetic problems that the hotel would prefer not be seen by guests.

If you are going on a camping trip and planning on hiking make sure you have maps of the area that you are in and carry them with you. It's also not a bad idea to have some kind of GPS device or compass with you and to know how to use them if you get lost.
